M: Mystery, OPI Designer Series

Hey ladies!

Sorry I've been missing for a bit, but life has just been a bit crazy.  First for today's ABC challenge, "M" I chose Mystery by OPI, part of their designer series, number 037 if your a collector.  I'm in the mood for pastels, but I don't have many M polishes so I apologize if this really isn't spring appropriate.  Below is two coats.

Mystery is a dark purple jelly with gold flakies.... supposedly this has "diamond dust" in it.... whatever, I'm NOT impressed.

I missed the letter L, last week.  I spent a few days in Montreal, Canada for my birthday.

View from our hotel room.  We stayed at Auberge du Morency, St. Hippolyte, Quebec.

Hubby and I in front of Notre Dame, Montreal, Canada.

Me at the biodome.

I caught a nice picture of two beavers swimming in the water together.  Also at the Biodome.  Here they come.

There they go!

Yes it was cold but we had a nice time. I've been back for several days, and it still feels like winter down here too.

How's the bedroom coming along? We are stuck at a stand still, waiting for miter saw parts. When it rains it pours.  Aside from going away, and working.... we have been distracted with a three broken toilets, (yes three), a leaking water heater and malfunctioning water pressure valve. The water heater and toilets are all 28 years old, so it was just a matter of time that they all stopped working, at the same time! Not to worry, we got a plumber in and he fixed everything, for $2400. So now I have three brand new toilets, and when ever I turn on a faucet, or flush a toilet, I don't hear a fog horn sound, and thankfully I have hot water too! Gotta be grateful right?

Plus my wireless router started to die and I did not have internet access for a few days. I bought a new router which took me 10 minutes to install and work, but the printers were not picking up the signal, so I spent four hours one evening to get every piece of technology in sync with the new router. Let's just say my patience has been tested the last couple of weeks.

I installed a Linksys N900 dual band router.  If anyone has that router, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  I went from a single band 802.11g to a dual band 802.11n, but I haven't noticed any improvement in speed or range. I'm thinking I should have gotten a cheaper one. ??

Well that's it for today!

  1. Awwww DS Mystery looks like it needs another coat of shiny top coat! But I know (thanks to you) that this polish is gorgeous! Still, I doubt there's diamond or whatever in there... What a joke.

The pictures of your trip are great, I especially love the one of you, you're smiling and looking very very happy ^^ "Un plaisir à voir" :)

Gosh, 3 new bathrooms. Sounds nice :p I don't know if I'd had the patience though... 4 hours with a router? No way, haha!

    I am glad you're back!

    1. Thank you, CN!! You've got very good eyes! I skipped the top coat, b/c I didn't wear this one, but for only a few hours. It is a pleasure on my end as well! Thank you.

  2. I love the beaver pics!!!! They look lovely swimming together <3
And your pics from the holidays are great, too. If the remodeling isn't really moving on I guess a good break was needed!
And about the polish, not really impressed either. I think the best DS series polishes were the holo ones. Those were seriously amazing.

  4. Bleh, sorry about the bathroom troubles! Glad you're back around to post...this polish is pretty, though it looks different on the nail than I thought it would. I don't own it yet, but had considered buying it last time I was at Ulta.

  11. I really like that color. Very pretty!

  12. Mystery is nice but (IMHO) it doesn't have that "quid" that DS polishes should have.
I love your extra pics! :)

  13. I own this polish too, but I was a little disappointed with it the first time I wore it. I expected WOW! with the DS name, but got wow instead. I didn't pay extra for it, so I'm OK. I use a little bit of sparkly polish on top with top coat, and I'm a happy camper.

Pictures are beautiful - I haven't made it to Montreal in a VERY long time, but would definitely like to go back. Looks like you had a fantastic birthday!

  14. Pretty color! Too bad you are disappointed in it. I don't have any of the DS polishes, I'm usually too much of a cheap skate to splurge the extra few bucks on them! LOL

  15. It looks very nice on your photo! Too bad it didn't live up to your expectations. I hate it when that happens :(

Seems like you've had your fair share of bad luck lately. I hope things are gonna go a little smoother from now on :)
