Another quicky swatch for the weekend, Essence's Blue Ray. This polished was released in the Fall of 2011 in limited amounts, it was such a shame because they were a steal at $1.99. Unlike Essence's Colour & Go line the "holografic" bottles are bigger at 10 ml. I was excited to find Blue Ray on eBay for $5.50.
The label says its a holographic but really its a duochrome, and a beautiful one at that. Blue ray shifts from a dark blue to a aqua blue.
Enjoy the photos and your weekend!
That is unbelievably pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks, cuti-clue-les!
Deletethis reminds me of one of my late Etude House polishes :D you know i find determining duochromes and holos quite difficult! i need to sharpen my nail vocab! -Loving Sunshine
ReplyDeleteDuo-chromes shift between two colors, hence duo as the the prefix. Holographic polishes, the colors shift through the entire spectrum (the rainbow), hence holo, the prefix meaning whole. Hope that helps! -Jenni
DeleteI think I got you a duochrome then! I got lucky bec i was with my aunt at the recording studio and to get some snacks, i visited this japanese-korean supermarket across the street. they have really nice nail polishes and i got you two from there. so pretty. :D I actually want to go back for myself too! But I'll wait for your post on them if they're worth the travel cause the studio is far from where i live. :)
Deletei hope you like the colors i got. they're fun and playful and very LovingSunshine-y. :)
wow! I can't wait, super excited!
